The years went by and Abomination Angel still clung to the roots of
rebellion he had been such a part of in the seventies and early eighties... |

Waiting... |

Knowing there would come a time when things would change and the world would
tire of "Nothing Music."
Then HE appeared... |

Marilyn Manson first
took the US of A apart and the world followed... |
Here was the bringer together of everything that was in the heart of
Abomination Angel. A man with the charisma of a Marc Bolan & a Johnny Rotten
who, like them knew where he was & where he wanted to be. He used the
scene, the kids, & an unsuspecting and still shockable public to get what &
where he wanted. |
A
mix of violence, sex, drugs, make-up and shock-horror tactics quickly
brought Marilyn Manson to the attention of the media. |
| |
| |
However, it was not all shock. |
| |
The music itself was mostly hard and raw but with an edge
and a disturbing undercurrent that brought you in deeper. |
| On top of this, those that could actually be bothered to
listen to the lyrics instead of condemning the image, would find an anger
directed at a system that could not be bothered to change & which ruled our
lives whether we liked it or not... (Do You love your guns, god,
government...?) |

Abomination Angel was drawn into this new experience.
There was light at the end of the century.
And so began new experimentations... |

Disturbed,
Killswitch Engage, Kittie, Rancid and Harlow (the metamorphosis of Fluffy)
and the like began to fill up the CD racks instead of the old punk re-releases &
compilations. Even Gary Numan, having taken on a darker,
heavier and more meaningful stance, took his place again, alongside them. |
